I played Bioshock Infinite for Linux all the way through and have to say I loved it as much as I did the first time I played the game. I first played the game in Windows about a year ago, and as far as I remember the game didn’t have any glaring technical difficulties. After playing it through this time on Ubuntu Linux 14.10 I would have to say that my experience is very similar. Once I got the settings pushed to max, turned of the mouse smoothing (I think that’s what it was called), and enabled v-sync all was good. I know that there is some Linux users reporting issues with the game simply crashing and other various issues like the CPU being completely raped to 100% usage. Out of the nearly 16 hours that I played, I had that happen to me about 2 times. So all in all, I’d say that I really enjoyed the port and the game again for a second time.
I recorded the entire playthrough via Twitch and pushed it to Youtube. So grab your popcorn and beers and enjoy.
